Congressman Biggs Recognizes the One-Year Anniversary of the U.S. Embassy in Jerusalem

May 14, 2019

GILBERT, ARIZONA – One year ago today, the United States moved its embassy in Israel to Jerusalem, fulfilling a central promise from President Donald Trump. Congressman Biggs issued the following statement:

"Several American Presidents promised to move the U.S. embassy in Israel to Jerusalem; President Trump courageously fulfilled that promise one year ago today. Throughout his administration, President Trump has proven himself a constant friend of our Middle Eastern ally and has empowered Israel to defend itself against her enemies. I am thankful that the embassy transition was relatively peaceful, and I pray for lasting peace in the Middle East. The United States of America stands with our enduring ally Israel."
