President Trump’s Economy Brings Americans Holiday Cheer

December 6, 2019
Press Release

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, the U.S. Department of Labor released its Employment Situation Report for November, showing an increase of 266,000 jobs, a lowered unemployment rate of 3.5%, and a yearly wage rate uptick of 3.1%.

Americans are taking notice, just look at the headlines.  CNBC said that “the jobs market turned in a stellar performance in November.” Bloomberg News stated that “U.S. Jobs Trounce Forecasts; Wages Heat Up.” USA Today wrote that the U.S. “Economy added booming 266,000 jobs in November.”

Congressman Biggs issued the following statement:

“President Trump’s economy is sizzling with more jobs, less unemployment, and higher wages. While impeachment-hungry Democrats, like the Grinch, are trying to ruin the holiday spirit, President Trump’s pro-growth policies are expanding economic opportunity and gifting Christmas cheer to consumers. When government cuts taxes, reduces regulations, and empowers its citizens, I’m not surprised to see these positive results. November’s jobs report has again proved that the American economy is strong and is benefiting countless individuals, families, and businesses. I hope my Democrat colleagues will drop their obsessive obstruction of this administration and work with the President to ensure a continuation of this economic prowess.”

Congressman Andy Biggs is a second-term Representative from Arizona’s Fifth Congressional District, representing parts of Chandler, Gilbert, Mesa, and Queen Creek.
