Good afternoon from Arizona's Fifth Congressional District –

I've enjoyed being back in the Grand Canyon State this week, meeting with constituents and businesses around our great district. My schedule is packed with more meetings and tours for the rest of the month – looking forward to seeing many of you during this August Congressional Recess.

It's Friday!

It's the August Recess, and I'm heading back to Arizona right now.

Truth be told, I'm very disappointed that the House did not postpone or cancel our August Congressional recess. Besides Obamacare repeal, the House still has tax reform, budget negotiations, and debt ceiling discussions to work through – just to name a few of the issues facing our nation. We are putting ourselves in a position where we will risk substantial progress on our agenda, and that would be unacceptable.

Hello from Gilbert, Arizona –

It's hot back here, but it's home. I always enjoy being in the district with my constituents and am looking forward to an extended time in Arizona in August (provided that the Congressional recess isn't postponed or canceled).

Happy Friday –

I'm about to board a plane bound for the fresh, free air of Arizona. It will be a short weekend in the district, but a welcome one, nonetheless.
