Newsletter - A Week for Veterans

March 17, 2017

Happy Friday!

The action and pace of Capitol Hill is heating up – even though the temperature in D.C. this week dipped below freezing. In the next weeks and months, the House will consider vital pieces of legislation to keep the promises we made to our constituents, including health care, tax reform, border security, and funding our government. Stay tuned for news on our efforts.

This week, the House of Representatives considered and passed three bills to address the care and attention we give to our nation’s veterans. I was proud to vote “AYE” on all three bills, and anticipate more efforts in Congress to ensure that American veterans are not lacking in the services they deserve.

Today, I spoke on the House floor to honor the sacrifice and service of our great veterans. Watch here.

My office is honored to host three future events for constituents later this spring. Please see below for details and RSVP if you are able to attend or participate in any of these events.

If you are a veteran in my district, it is my pleasure to invite you to my Veterans Resource Fair. At this fair, you will be able to sign up for health care, speak face-to-face with an administrator about issues you may be experiencing with the Department of Veterans Affairs, or file a claim. If you’ve had reason to use your Veterans Choice Card, TriWest Healthcare Alliance will also be in attendance. Furthermore, I’ve invited various non-profit organizations that are focused on assisting our veterans and ensuring that their needs are met. Please find the details of this fair, below:
