Arizona Congressional Delegation Members Send Letter to Trump Administration

September 20, 2017

Gilbert, Arizona – Today, Congressman Andy Biggs and other members of the Arizona delegation sent a letter to Secretaries Tillerson, Ross, and Chao expressing concerns about foreign government subsidies that jeopardize commercial airline service and threaten Arizona jobs. Congressman Biggs released the following statement:

"I'm grateful to my Arizona colleagues for joining me on this letter to the administration. It's the U.S. government's responsibility to step in to protect American workers when they are the victims of unfair foreign labor practices. In this case, thousands of aviation jobs may disappear if the Gulf carrier subsidies are not ended once and for all. I look forward to working with the Trump administration and my colleagues to ensure that Arizona employees are not harmed by this international development."
