Congressman Andy Biggs Joins the Congressional Western Caucus

February 2, 2017

"I look forward to working alongside Chairman Gosar"

Washington, D.C. – Today, Congressman Andy Biggs (AZ-05) joined the Congressional Western Caucus. The stated mission of the Western Caucus is to enhance, sustain and preserve the West's dynamic and unique culture, and to find innovative solutions that address the distinctive concerns facing western and rural communities. The Western Caucus includes over 50 House members, including three from Arizona. Congressman Paul Gosar (AZ-04) serves as the chair of the Caucus. Congressman Biggs released the following statement:

"I am excited to join the Congressional Western Caucus and lend my voice to the vital issues it promotes. This Caucus provides a much-needed voice to our western states and ensures that their issues become Congressional priorities. As a member, I will focus on removing federal regulations that, for too long, have overburdened Arizonans and their businesses at the price of economic growth and job creation.

"I look forward to working alongside Chairman Gosar and the rest of my colleagues to advance the Caucus' agenda in the 115th Congress. For many years, Chairman Gosar has fought courageously against an out-of-control federal government's assault against the West and its resources. I know he is looking forward to working with an administration that respects states' rights and their unique resources to create economic growth and jobs. I am honored to be a part of this Caucus."
