Congressman Andy Biggs Sworn in for Second House Term
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Congressman Andy Biggs was sworn in for his second term to the U.S. House of Representatives. He released the following statement:
“I’m thankful for the privilege to continue to represent Arizona’s Fifth Congressional District. Serving in this body has been one of the greatest honors of my life. My belief in the greatness of America, and its divine origins, inspire me to take my responsibilities seriously each time I step into this chamber.
“The next two years will be challenging for a Republican minority in the House. Though we can – and should – look to work across the aisle when necessary, we must defend our promises and the progress we made on our agenda over the past two years. I was honored to have three bipartisan bills signed into law during the 115th Congress, and will look for ways to promote Arizona’s interests during the 116th Congress. I will continue to fight for tougher border security, fiscal responsibility, and accountability of corrupt officials at our government agencies.”
Congressman Andy Biggs is a second-term Representative from Arizona’s Fifth Congressional District, representing parts of Chandler, Gilbert, Mesa, and Queen Creek. He lives with his wife, Cindy, in Gilbert.
