Congressman Biggs Announces Support for CR with Increased Border Security Funding

December 20, 2018

WASHINGTON, D.C. – After President Trump's renewed request that any year-end continuing resolution include $5 billion to fund our border wall, Congressman Biggs released the following statement:

"President Trump promised to secure the border and build the wall. The American people expect him – and Members of Congress – to keep our promise to secure the border. I am pleased by President Trump's commitment to fight for adequate wall funding in a year-end spending bill (CR). I expect a CR to be introduced on the floor, with the inclusion of at least $5 billion of wall and border security funding and no amnesty. I will vote for that bill. The legislation is far from perfect, but it represents the last chance for Republicans to keep our promise to the American people before Democrats take control of the House. I urge my colleagues to join me in my efforts."
