Congressman Biggs Applauds the June Jobs Report
GILBERT, ARIZONA – Today, the Department of Labor released the jobs report for the month of June, showing that the economy added 224,000 jobs, that wage earnings rose 3.1% over a year ago, and that the unemployment rate remained well under 4%. Congressman Biggs released the following statement:
“Opponents of this President continue to look for any sign of an economic slowdown, but President Trump’s economy keeps proving them wrong. Most Americans are better off today than they were three years ago due to the pro-growth commitment of the Trump administration and the Republican-led 115 Congress to cut taxes and regulations. These policies are still working, and Americans, increasingly unleashed from the heavy hand of government, are free to chart their future prosperity. I call on my Democrat colleagues to join Republicans in promoting and furthering this economic momentum.”
