Congressman Biggs Applauds the Trump Administration for Holding California Accountable

March 7, 2018

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Last night, the Trump administration filed a lawsuit to challenge three of California's statutes that insulate the state from adhering to federal immigration laws. Congressman Biggs released the following statement:

"California's culture of defiance is detrimental to our nation's laws and ability to protect innocent Americans. For years, California has led a rebellion against immigration enforcement laws it disagrees with. Millions of illegal immigrants have received de facto amnesty within the state, allowing many to wreak havoc on American streets. Previous administrations have allowed California's reckless behavior to persist by not enforcing federal law, and now other states have followed this unruly example. I applaud President Trump and his administration for standing up for the rule of law and holding California accountable for its reprehensible policies. I will do everything in my power to support the administration's efforts."
