Congressman Biggs Blasts Biden's Amnesty Proposal

February 18, 2021
Press Release

GILBERT, ARIZONA – Today, President Joe Biden and Congressional Democrats introduced the U.S. Citizenship Act of 2021. Congressman Biggs, the co-chair of the Border Security Caucus and a member of the Immigration and Citizenship Subcommittee on the House Committee on the Judiciary, released the following statement:

“Since taking office one month ago, Joe Biden has stopped the construction of the border wall, rolled back policies designed to enhance enforcement of immigration laws, and increased incentives for illegal immigration into our communities. The U.S. Citizenship Act – or rather, the Aliens First, Americans Last Act – doesn’t just continue these reckless open-borders policies, but cements them for the rest of American history. All Americans should be terrified of the radical immigration policies within this legislation.

“This bill would grant amnesty to millions of illegal aliens, devastate economic opportunities for American workers, and destroy our country’s sovereignty for future generations. Congress must stop this bill before it becomes law. We must pass legislation that secures our borders, enforces our immigration laws, and eliminates incentives for illegal aliens looking to infiltrate our communities. The future of our great nation is at stake. We must put America first with the entirety of our immigration policies.”

Congressman Andy Biggs is a third-term Representative from Arizona’s Fifth Congressional District, representing parts of Chandler, Gilbert, Mesa, and Queen Creek. Congressman Biggs is a member of the House Judiciary and Oversight and Reform committees. He lives with his wife, Cindy, in Gilbert.
