Congressman Biggs Calls for Consideration of Born Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Tonight, Congressman Biggs asked for unanimous consent for the House of Representatives to consider the Born Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act. Democrats rejected his request – the 42nd time House Republicans have asked for consent on this legislation this year. Congressman Biggs issued the following statement:
"Forget their utter disregard for standing with the unborn; Democrats have failed dozens of times to stand with babies who are born alive and fighting for their survival. Speaker Pelosi won't even allow this common-sense bill to come to the House floor for an up-or-down vote. This betrayal of our values – and our fellow human beings – is unconscionable. I call on my colleagues to think about the most vulnerable among us and protect babies who have been born alive. Members of Congress should have no greater calling than to protect innocent life."
