WASHINGTON, D.C. – Tonight, the U.S. Senate confirmed Robert Wilkie as the Secretary of the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. Congressman Biggs released the following statement:
"I congratulate Secretary Wilkie on his confirmation to lead the Department of Veterans Affairs. Under President Trump's administration and this Congress, significant reforms have been made for our veterans. However, much more is required from this bureaucracy. I hope that Secretary Wilkie's personal and professional experience with the Departments of Defense and Veterans Affairs allows our veterans to receive the best care and attention available. I wish him nothing but the best as he assumes this responsibility, and I look forward to working with him on behalf of our nation's veterans."
