Congressman Biggs Leads Letter Asking for Regulatory Reforms to the EPA’s New Source Review Program

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Congressman Andy Biggs led a letter to Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Administrator Andrew Wheeler, urging him to take immediate action to further reform the New Source Review (NSR) "preconstruction air permitting program." The letter was signed by dozens of Members of Congress and comes on the heels of the EPA's most-recent action to improve NSR. Congressman Biggs released the following statement:

"I applaud Administrator Wheeler for implementing a strong regulatory reform agenda at the EPA. Last week's actions were a solid first step in the right direction to reform the NSR permitting program. Arizona stands to benefit greatly from this action. I look forward to continue working with the Trump Administration to further reform NSR and allow America's industry to make their units more reliable and efficient, while maintaining strong environmental standards." – Congressman Andy Biggs (AZ-05)
