Congressman Biggs’ NDAA Amendment Affirms America’s Unflinching Support for Israel
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Congressman Andy Biggs submitted an amendment to the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) for Fiscal Year 2020, reaffirming our nation's unflinching support for Israel. Congressman Biggs issued the following statement.
"In these turbulent times, we must do everything in our power to maintain the vitally important U.S.-Israel relationship. The bond between our two nations is anchored not only by shared values, but also shared strategic interests: as a stable, prosperous, and democratic state in a region so often marred by turmoil, Israel is a key partner as the U.S. confronts numerous foreign policy challenges in the Middle East, including an increasingly intransigent Iran. For over fifty years, Israel has been an enduring friend and ally, and I will do everything possible throughout my time in office to ensure this always remains the case."
Congressman Andy Biggs is a second-term Representative from Arizona's Fifth Congressional District, representing parts of Chandler, Gilbert, Mesa, and Queen Creek.
