Congressman Biggs Responds to the Release of the Trump-Ukraine Phone Conversation Transcript

September 25, 2019

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, the White House released the transcript of the phone conversation between President Donald Trump and Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky on July 25. Congressman Biggs issued the following statement:

"President Trump's release of this transcript fulfills another promise of transparency and proves that there was no quid pro quo in his conversation with the Ukrainian President. The Democrats' frenzy over the contents of this unknown phone call will go down in history as one of the worst rushes to judgment in American history. We can all watch as the attack dogs of the Left in Congress try to spin the false accusation revealed in the transcript.

"Sadly, this example is one of many of Congressional Democrats letting their hatred of our duly elected President color their view of facts and evidence. Democrats have rendered the definition of ‘impeachment' meaningless with all the times they have cried ‘wolf;' the American people still oppose the start of impeachment proceedings.

"In spite of all of this nonsense, President Trump has remained resolute and focused on keeping his promises to the American people. I applaud his message of American sovereignty, religious freedom, capitalism, and strong borders this week at the United Nations. I know that the President will continue at his tasks at hand and trust that the American people support his mission."
