Congressman Biggs' Statement on the Final Mueller Report

March 22, 2019

GILBERT, ARIZONA – This afternoon, Special Counsel Robert Mueller delivered his final report to U.S. Attorney General William Barr. Congressman Biggs released the following statement:

"After almost two years, the Mueller Report is finalized, and President Trump and the American people can finally see a resolution in sight. This investigation should never have happened. Former FBI Director James Comey leaked memos - some which may have contained confidential material - to a friend with the explicit desire to manipulate ongoing investigations and have his friend Mueller appointed as Special Counsel. Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein then empowered Mueller's team to act with little accountability or adherence to their original scope. This travesty of justice should never again occur to any American. I look forward to reviewing the report once it is transmitted to the House Judiciary Committee."

Congressman Andy Biggs is a second-term Representative from Arizona's Fifth Congressional District, representing parts of Chandler, Gilbert, Mesa, and Queen Creek. Congressman Biggs is a member of the House Judiciary and Science, Space, and Technology committees. He lives with his wife, Cindy, in Gilbert.
