Congressman Biggs’ Statement on FY18 NDAA Passage
Washington, D.C. – Today, the House of Representatives passed the FY18 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA). Congressman Biggs voted in favor of the NDAA and issued the following statement:
“The House again fulfilled its constitutional duty to provide the United States’ military the resources it needs to effectively promote peace through strength. The NDAA included three items crucial to sustaining the worthy missions of our Armed Forces: a 2.4% pay increase for our men and women in uniform; additional funding for enhanced missile defense and cybersecurity capabilities; and continued support for the Army AH-64E Apache. I was proud to lead a letter urging continued support for the AH-64E program and am pleased that Congress recognizes its strategic importance for our military operations.
“Our troops have our backs at home and abroad. The NDAA shows them that we have their backs in Congress.”
