Congressman Biggs' Statement on the January Jobs Report
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, the U.S. Department of Labor released its January 2020 Employment Report, showing that the American economy added 225,000 jobs; the unemployment rate remained near a historic low of 3.6%; and wages increased 3.1%. Congressman Biggs issued the following statement:
"While Radical Democrats and Deep State bureaucrats attempt to overturn the result of the 2016 election, President Donald J. Trump continues to deliver results for all Americans. The American economy continues to exceed all expectations, infusing hope, optimism, and tremendous opportunities across our homeland. President Trump's pro-growth policies, starting with his regulatory reforms and the 2017 tax cuts package, have allowed individuals, families, and business owners to maximize their economic potential. I am confident that our economy will remain strong under President Trump's leadership, and I hope my Democrat colleagues will join him in sustaining this economic miracle."
