Congressman Biggs' Statement on Latest Rosenstein Revelations

September 21, 2018

GILBERT, ARIZONA – Media reports claim Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein secretly recorded President Trump during private conversations and that Rosenstein talked about invoking the 25th amendment to impeach our President. Former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe's attorney released a statement soon after, implying that his client's leaked memos may have sparked the news. Congressman Biggs released the following statement:

"Rod Rosenstein has resisted oversight efforts to expose corruption at the highest levels of the Department of Justice and FBI. Special Counsel Robert Mueller's investigation has escaped any scrutiny under Rosenstein's management. If these latest reports are true, Mr. Rosenstein's clandestine activities are more sinister than we thought.

"Rod Rosenstein continues to deny his constitutional obligation to release documents requested by Congress, and recent reports suggest he's working to undermine our democratically elected President. If he does not cooperate, Congress must act immediately. The American people must have complete transparency, and Congress has a duty to protect the integrity of our institution."
