Congressman Biggs' Statement on the Passage of FY2018 Budget

October 5, 2017

Washington, D.C. – Today, Congressman Andy Biggs voted YES on H. Con. Res. 71 – the Fiscal Year (FY) 2018 Budget Resolution. Congressman Biggs released the following statement:

"Passing the FY2018 Budget Resolution is first step towards completing tax reform. Reforming our tax code, which has not been done since 1986, will return more hard-earned dollars to American families and stimulate economic revitalization. We promised our constituents that we would pass this historic legislation, and we must not fail them. I look forward to the day when this process is completed and we can again see our country overflowing with economic potential and opportunities. Until that day, I will work diligently with my colleagues to ensure that tax reform is committed to paper and is consistent with the pledges we previously made to Americans."
