Congressman Biggs Visits the U.S.-Mexico Border

October 15, 2018

GILBERT, ARIZONA – Congressman Andy Biggs visited the U.S.-Mexico border this past Friday, making his second trip in four months. He released the following statement:

"Since taking office in January 2017, I have prioritized border security and enforcement of our immigration laws. This is what my constituents expect, and what is necessary to keep them safe from criminally violent illegal aliens. I have traveled to the border on a regular basis to understand the challenges our Border Patrol and ICE officers continually face. Special thanks to Border Patrol agent Art Del Cueto for leading the tour.

"Our border remains insecure, and human smugglers and drug cartels are taking advantage of the federal government's failure. This is a national security issue. It is putting our communities and our Border Patrol agents in harm's way. This is why I've introduced the ‘Fund and Complete the Border Wall Act' to fund, complete and pay for the border wall – plus give our Border Patrol agents the resources necessary to do their jobs. We have no excuses for allowing our border to remain open. We must act now."
