Congressman Biggs Votes Against the Democrats' Politicization of the U.S. Military
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, the House of Representatives passed H.R. 6395 – Mac Thornberry National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA). Congressman Biggs voted NO and issued the following statement:
“I support our military, but I do not support efforts to politicize our military. Unfortunately, for the second year in a row, Speaker Pelosi and her Democrat colleagues have politicized a fairly bipartisan defense spending package – one that I have voted for every year of my tenure in Congress. I don’t believe that many of my constituents appreciate the Democrats’ efforts to rewrite our nation’s history, water down the Second Amendment, fund endless wars, and leave our border unsecured, which all occurs in the House’s version - and neither do I.
“I look forward to seeing the Senate’s version of the NDAA and the subsequent conference report with hopes that we can put politics aside to fund and support our brave men and women in uniform.”
Congressman Andy Biggs is a second-term Representative from Arizona’s Fifth Congressional District, representing parts of Chandler, Gilbert, Mesa, and Queen Creek.
