Congressman Biggs votes to fund the United States Military
WASHINGTON, D.C. - Today, the House passed H.R. 6157, the Department of Defense Appropiations Act. Congressman Biggs voted in favor of the legislation and issued the following statement:
"I was pleased to vote in favor of the 2019 Department of Defense Appropriations Act. This legislation supports our ongoing missions to defeat ISIS, enhances our missile defense capabilities, gives our troops another pay raise, and continues to assist with military readiness.
"I led two vital provisions. The United States will continue to fund the most formidable attack helicopters in the world: the Apache helicopters, which are manufactured in Mesa. We will also fund the National Guard Drug Interdiction Program and Counter-Drug Activities, which are critical to the Arizona National Guard's efforts to combat illegal drugs and cartels.
"I look forward to continuing my wholehearted support for our Armed Forces."
