House Democrats Attempt to Strain Cow Patty Out of Impeachment Stew

October 28, 2019

WASHINGTON, D.C. – This afternoon, House Democrats announced a forthcoming resolution to direct "certain committees to continue their ongoing investigations as part of the existing House of Representatives inquiry into whether sufficient grounds exist for the House of Representatives to exercise its Constitutional power to impeach Donald John Trump, President of the United States of America." This announcement came as Democrats were refusing to authorize their impeachment inquisition in a vote of the full House, hiding their efforts in an underground chamber.Congressman Biggs issued the following statement:

"For weeks, House Democrats have blatantly disregarded the rules of this body in their unauthorized impeachment inquisition of America's duly-elected President. They have held hearings in an underground chamber, have denied Members their right to access committee records pertaining to these hearings, and have dissuaded any leaks of information (but their own) from the American public. In doing so, they have brought the process into disrepute and ensured that their partisan quest is devoid of truth, transparency, and due process.

"Hallelujah! The Democrats finally saw the error of their covert hearings by preparing to introduce this resolution. Yet they cannot strain the cow patty out of the stew. Democrats have tainted the process by denying access to documents and witnesses. They have suppressed evidence, testimony, and participation from other Members of Congress. They cannot undo their error and legitimize the Soviet-style hearings that have already occurred because they have operated with a preconceived conclusion in sight. The American people will see through the Democrats' continued attempts to undermine, impeach, and remove President Trump from office. They should not stand for the Democrats' disregard of their will."
