House Judiciary Democrats Continue Their Attacks on President Trump’s Administration

May 6, 2019

GILBERT, ARIZONA – Today, the House Judiciary Committee Democrats announced their plans to vote to hold Attorney General William Barr in Contempt of Congress. Congressman Biggs, a Republican member of the House Judiciary Committee, issued the following statement:

"Instead of helping Congress legislate matters of actual national importance, Chairman Jerry Nadler and his Judiciary counterparts have locked into their positions of undermining President Donald J. Trump – with intentions of impeachment. Attorney General Barr's name might be on the Contempt citation, but make no mistake, the real target is President Trump. After multiple House and Senate investigations, and a boundless Special Counsel investigation into the fairytales of Russian collusion that all proved President Trump's innocence, Democrats still will not take ‘no' for an answer. The American people are tired of this partisan gamesmanship. They want Members of Congress to help sustain the economic momentum around the country, improve the quality and cost of health care, and secure the border. It's time for Democrats to stop their witch hunts and get to work for our constituents. Stop your attacks on President Trump!"
