President Trump Signs the Right to Try Act

May 30, 2018

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, President Donald Trump signed the Right to Try Act into law. Congressman Biggs, the sponsor of the House bill, issued the following statement:

"I am pleased by today's remarkable accomplishment, which will give patients who have no other options left the ability to try to save their own lives. Quite simply, the Right to Try Act extends the greatest gift—hope—to the millions of men, women, and children who are battling the odds every day. I thank President Donald Trump, Vice President Mike Pence, Senator Ron Johnson, and Congressman Brian Fitzpatrick for their relentless work on behalf of this cause, but it is really the patients themselves and their advocates who deserve the most praise—without their tireless efforts, we would have never achieved this victory."
