President Trump's Economy Hits Another High Note
GILBERT, ARIZONA – Today, the U.S. Labor Department reported that 263,000 jobs were added in April, with unemployment decreasing to 3.6%. Congressman Biggs issued the following statement:
"President Trump's economy continues to exceed expectations, and the American people are the winners with each month of positive, pro-growth news. Since taking office, President Trump has worked with Congress to cut regulations and unleash the economic potential across the United States. His efforts have paid off yet again. Today's labor market allows employees to seize more opportunities to move to higher-paying jobs that fit their demands and skill sets. In fact, wage growth has been at 3% or above for nine straight months, giving Americans more dollars to help spur their local economies or save for their children's futures. There is much more work to be done, though, to sustain this economic momentum, and I call on my colleagues from across the aisle to join the President and Republicans in helping American individuals, families, and businesses maximize their economic prospects."
Congressman Andy Biggs is a second-term Representative from Arizona's Fifth Congressional District, representing parts of Chandler, Gilbert, Mesa, and Queen Creek.
