WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Congressman Mark Meadows announced that he would not be seeking reelection to the U.S. House of Representatives. Congressman Biggs issued the following statement:
"Since I entered Congress in 2017, Congressman Meadows has been a valued friend, colleague, and mentor. He led the House Freedom Caucus with courage and foresight, allowing our caucus to greatly expand its influence in the Republican conference. Few Members of Congress have had the impact on the House of Representatives that Mark Meadows has had this past decade.
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Democrats in the House of Representatives voted to overturn the results of the 2016 election. Congressman Biggs voted against this vindictive, partisan sham and issued the following statement:
"Democrats have pursued a predetermined outcome for three years, and today, voted to overturn the will of 63 million Americans who voted for Donald J. Trump. This is a dark day for the United States of America. History will abhor the Democrats' radical, vindictive efforts to punish, harass, and remove their political opponent.
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, the House of Representatives passed two appropriations bills committing the American taxpayer to over $1.4 trillion in spending. Congressman Biggs voted against both bills and issued the following statement:
Russia interfered in our 2016 presidential election. Ukrainians attempted to influence our 2016 election. The Mueller report found no collusion or conspiracy between the Trump campaign and the bad actors of 2016.
With monotonous repetition, Democrats argue that it is a binary choice. Either you believe that the Russians interfered or that the Ukrainians interfered. That is false. Both countries attempted to interfere in 2016.
DISSENTING VIEWS
Congressman Andy Biggs
I concur with Ranking Member Doug Collins' dissenting views and submit my additional statements for the record.
Democrats have sought to remove or delegitimize President Donald J. Trump since the day he won the 2016 presidential election. Representative Al Green (D-TX) expressed his desire to impeach the President while Barack Obama was still President. Media outlets and others stoked this fire and have kept it going for three years.
