Today, Congressman Andy Biggs sent a letter along with 20 of his House colleagues to Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas seeking information about Russian nationals illegally entering the United States and being released into the interior of the country by DHS.

Yesterday, Congressman Andy Biggs sent a letter to David Ferriero, the Archivist at the U.S. National Archives and Records Administration, in an effort to hold the National Personnel Records Center (NPRC) more accountable for its veterans’ record request backlogs. The NPRC has only recently returned to operating at full capacity after operating at reduced levels since March 2020. During that time significant backlogs developed which have caused hardship for veterans.

Today, Congressman Andy Biggs (AZ-05) reintroduced the Budget Process Enhancement Act. This bill makes two major reforms to the budget for fiscal year 2023. First, it removes language that would provide budget adjustments based on inflation levels. Second, it continues Congressman Biggs' longstanding commitment to "no budget, no pay" by holding the salaries of members of Congress in escrow if they do not agree to a budget resolution in a timely manner.

For decades, environmentalists have forced the military to alter day-to-day operations to fit their radical agenda. These actions cost the military time, resources, and delay mission readiness. The need for this change was brought to the congressman’s attention in a briefing with national security experts.

Today, Congressman Andy Biggs and 141 congressional colleagues sent a letter to Mr. Marvin Richardson, the acting director of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF), in response to ATF’s attempt to restrict the ability of law-abiding Americans to use silencers on firearms.

"This bill will exacerbate our out-of-control spending," said Congressman Andy Biggs. "At a time when the national debt has surpassed $30 trillion, Congress cannot continue this cycle of reckless spending. This bill will dramatically increase the deficit, leaving a massive bill for our children to pay.
