House Democrats Plot Latest Attempt to Remove President Trump from Office
GILBERT, ARIZONA – Today, House Democrats announced plans to establish a Commission on Presidential Capacity, the latest attempt by congressional Democrats to overturn the 2016 election and remove President Trump from office. Congressman Biggs issued the following statements:
“Over the last three-plus years, Democrats have clearly proved that there is NOTHING they wouldn’t weaponize to undermine and overthrow America’s duly elected 45th President, Donald J. Trump. This year, following their disastrous impeachment hoax, Democrats have increasingly taken advantage of COVID-19 in an attempt to cause political harm to President Trump. This legislation is more of the same sorry, partisan, spiteful ploys from House Democrats in their never-ending march to remove our president.
“Americans are tired of these charades, and they want the games to end. President Trump, like millions of Americans, caught a virus this month. Thankfully, also like millions of Americans, he is on the road to recovery from this virus. While recovering from the virus, President Trump never stopped working for the American people. Instead of taking the president’s recovery at face value, Democrats have distorted and manipulated the truth, and they have made it a political cesspool.
“It is time for Democrats to stop their hateful fixation on President Trump and return to the people’s business. Our nation cannot survive this partisan warfare. I again call on our House Republican leadership to call up the motion to Vacate the Chair to remove Nancy Pelosi as Speaker of the House. Speaker Pelosi continues to abuse her power for political purposes and denigrate this institution to the point of no return. Republicans and Democrats must act to restore the House to a place of respect, decency, and adherence to our constitutional duties.”
Congressman Andy Biggs is a second-term Representative from Arizona’s Fifth Congressional District, representing parts of Chandler, Gilbert, Mesa, and Queen Creek. Congressman Biggs is a member of the House Judiciary and Science, Space, and Technology committees. He lives with his wife, Cindy, in Gilbert.
