WASHINGTON, DC - Today, Congressman Andy Biggs, along with 24 colleagues, sent a letter to the House Appropriations Committee regarding the recent reports that the Biden administration is planning to spend taxpayer funds to provide legal services for illegal aliens. The letter demands that the Appropriations Committee oppose funding these programs.

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Today, Congressman Andy Biggs sent a letter to the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) demanding that it begin the process of renaming the VA Health Care Clinic in Gilbert, AZ. The clinic’s name change, which was signed into law in January 2021, is in honor of Staff Sergeant Alexander W. Conrad, a former resident of Chandler, AZ, who died while defending this nation.

GILBERT, ARIZONA - Today, Congressman Andy Biggs announced the winner of the Congressional App Challenge. The app was developed by Prisha Shroff, a student from Hamilton High School in Chandler, Arizona. 

Wildfire Prevention System is an artificial intelligence based app designed to prevent wildfires by preprocessing satellite and meteorological data and identifying hot spots.

GILBERT, AZ- Today, Congressman Andy Biggs re-introduced four pieces of legislation that aim to rein in federal involvement in the healthcare industry and fully repeal Obamacare.

"Americans have the right to make medical decisions without interference from the federal government," said Congressman Andy Biggs. "The federal government screws up almost everything it touches. Medical care is no exception."


January 24, 2022

Today, Congressman Andy Biggs, along with 40 colleagues, sent a letter to President Biden demanding that his administration stop tracking federal employees who have applied for religious exemptions from the COVID-19 vaccine. This comes after the Pretrial Services Agency for the District of Columbia issued notice in the Federal Register that it would create a new records system to track federal employees’ “personal religious information”. It has been reported that at least 19 federal agencies, including five cabinet level agencies, have also proposed creating similar databases.

Today, Congressman Andy Biggs sent a letter to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) demanding they rescind their guidance that makes race a factor in determining who should receive COVID-19 medical treatment.

Today, Congressman Andy Biggs, and 24 of his Colleagues, introduced the No Mandates Act, which prohibits any federal agency or entity that receives federal funds from issuing a COVID-19 vaccine mandate. The bill also would require any entity who received COVID-19 relief funds to repay those funds if they issue a COVID-19 vaccine mandate.

On Monday, Congressman Andy Biggs demanded that the Select Committee allow House members access to conducted depositions, including collected materials, in their January 6 investigation.

“House rules clearly provide the ability for Members of Congress to attend depositions and review collected testimony,” said Congressman Andy Biggs. “The January 6 Select Committee and it’s sham of an investigation has denied members access to depositions, interviews, and transcripts. It is attempting to ruin reputations by leaking, out of context,  fragments of testimony.”
