Yesterday, Congressman Andy Biggs issued the following statement in response to the release of True the Vote leaders Catherine Engelbrecht and Gregg Phillips from jail: 

"It’s a dangerous time to call out Big Brother as evidenced by the unjust imprisonment of Catherine Engelbrecht and Gregg Phillips," said Congressman Andy Biggs. These American patriots became political prisoners for promoting free and fair elections and exposing election crimes.

Next Monday, Congressman Andy Biggs (R-AZ) will lead a forum on House and GOP Conference rules for the 118th Congress. The forum will examine proposals and discuss what rules changes should be implemented. At least three expert witnesses will provide testimony. The forum will feature more than ten prominent House Republican lawmakers.

On Tuesday, Congressman Andy Biggs and 13 of his House colleagues sent a letter to the U.S. Office of Personnel Management (OPM) regarding reports that there have been unacceptable delays in the processing of retirement paperwork for retirees from U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP). These delays have resulted in months of uncertainty and financial hardship for many. 

“These heroic men and women put their lives on the line and rightly deserve their hard-earned compensation,”  said Congressman Andy Biggs.

Today, Congressman Andy Biggs and 10 of his House colleagues sent a letter to the U.S. State Department (DOS) in response to recent reports revealing that it funded drag theater performances, workshops, and a documentary in Ecuador with U.S. taxpayer money. The State Department recently awarded a $20,600 grant to the Centro Ecuatoriano Norteamericano De Cuenca to “host 3 workshops, 12 drag theater performances, and produce a 2 minute documentary.”

Yesterday, Congressman Andy Biggs sent a letter to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) regarding the Department’s laissez-faire attitude towards the welfare of unaccompanied alien children (UAC) that it has placed with sponsors in the United States.

Today, Congressman Andy Biggs (R-AZ) introduced the State Immigration Enforcement Act. This legislation allows states and localities to pass and enforce laws that mirror federal immigration laws. The Biden Administration has virtually stopped immigration enforcement—allowing deportable aliens to remain in the country and incentivizing illegal aliens to enter the country.

Yesterday, Congressman Andy Biggs (R-AZ) premiered a new border documentary titled Alien Invasion at The Heritage Foundation. The documentary addresses how President Biden’s border crisis began, its consequences, and solutions to address the crisis. The documentary includes interviews with Members of Congress, former Trump Administration officials, law enforcement, and citizens living along the U.S.-Mexico border.

Today, Congressman Andy Biggs (R-AZ) introduced the Ending Catch and Release Act of 2022. This legislation amends the Immigration and Nationality Act (INA) to prohibit the Biden Administration from continuing to release illegal aliens into the country.
