The latest effort to impeach President Trump claims that he is calling world leaders asking for help in Attorney General William Barr's investigation into the origins of the Russian collusion hoax. The left-stream media, whose sources purport to be leakers from inside the White House, are reporting that Mr. Trump called the prime minister of Australia at the request of Mr. Barr.

The process the Democrats have employed to gin up support for impeaching President Donald Trump has been almost as long as Chairman Mao's long march. It has also been tragically absurdist. It is filled with twists and turns as the Democrats slog through the muck they have raked up in their attempt to obviate the 2016 presidential election by overthrowing the will of the American voter and throwing out President Trump.

Republicans and President Trump, eager to discredit the impeachment inquiry launched by House Democrats, may have found their weapon in Adam Schiff.

Schiff, a California Democrat who is chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, was tasked last month by Speaker Nancy Pelosi with leading the impeachment inquiry into the president's efforts to get foreign governments to investigate allegations against 2020 Democratic presidential hopeful Joe Biden.

House Republicans will force a vote to formally condemn Rep. Adam Schiff when they return from recess, their most aggressive offensive yet as the GOP fumbles for a strategy to beat back impeachment efforts.

The largely symbolic move, which won't get approved by the Democrat-controlled House, is backed by the House's highest-ranking Republicans and some of President Donald Trump's close allies on Capitol Hill: House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) and House Minority Whip Steve Scalise (R-La.).

Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Chairman Adam Schiff, and Democrat leaders in Congress are trying to remove President Trump through a series of closed-door hearings. They are ignoring longstanding precedent by preventing the public from scrutinizing the evidence and evaluating their witnesses.

Presumably they will ignore precedent and prevent the President's counsel from representing the President, while preventing Republicans from calling witnesses.

House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff, D-Calif., is unfit to lead any impeachment proceedings against President Trump and deserves House censure, Congressman Andy Biggs said Thursday.

House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy said Wednesday he has signed a resolution to censure House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam B. Schiff.

"Chairman Adam Schiff has been lying to the American people for years. Now he is so desperate to damage the president he literally made up a false version of a phone call," Mr. McCarthy, a California Republican, said in a tweet.

House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif., added his name to a resolution Wednesday that would censure House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff for reading a "parody" version of President Trump's phone call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky during a hearing last week.
