WASHINGTON, D.C. – Last week, the Center for Disease Control and Prevention released a new report, showing that nationwide abortion rates have fallen to their lowest level since before Roe v. Wade. Abortion rates in Arizona dropped half of a percent during that timeframe. Congressman Biggs released the following statement:

GILBERT, ARIZONA – Congressman Biggs released the following statement on the potential inclusion of a Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) deal in the end-of-year spending bill:

"As Congress approaches another government funding deadline, I am encouraged by Speaker Paul Ryan's comments that lawmakers are not planning to tie DACA reform to these negotiations. Congress should pass single-subject legislation, which maximizes the transparency of our votes to constituents. It would be a grave mistake to add DACA reform to the spending bill.

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Today, the U.S. House of Representatives passed H.R. 1, the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act. Congressman Biggs voted in favor of this legislation and issued the following statement:

"H.R. 1 is a major step forward in tax policy. It provides relief from burdensome taxes for most Americans – individuals, families, and businesses. I am optimistic that when we complete the legislative process, we will see tax cuts for all Americans.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Tonight, Congressman Andy Biggs filed two amendments with the U.S. House Rules Committee to address concerns with the tax reform package. One amendment makes all provisions within the bill retroactive to January 1, 2017. The second amendment lowers the top tax rate by 5% to 34.6%. Congressman Biggs issued the following statement:
